3. The Carry
The carry is the backbone of any team, the role of the carry is as its name says. This hero will “carry” the team to victory since he usually is the hero with the highest DPS (damage per second). Carries usually gain momentum somewhere in the 20th minute of the game (mid-game) to the 25th minute. Carries usually are supposed to get the kills since either they lack the necessary skills to farm fast or so as to beef them up faster. Carry heroes are usually Agi type heroes that have high physical attack damages and fast attack speeds.
One of the most famous carries in DotA would be the Shadow Fiend. With three, THREE!! three hundred damage skills and an AoE high damage ultimate no doubt one of the best carries in game. One other good carry hero would be the Syllabear, with a hero and a summon (with 2.7k HP I might add) both with six item slots the possibilities are endless.
In HoN one of the best carry in-game would be The Dark Lady, ’nuff said.
4. The Nuker/Disabler
Nukers and/or Disablers are an integral part of any team since they are the heroes which bear the responsibility of neutralizing the enemy team’s heroes. They deal out high burst damages which drastically reduce the HP of enemy heroes and then neutralize them by the use of disabling skills (i.e. Storm Bolt, Silence, Finger of Death, Reaper Scythe, Requiem of Souls, etc). These heroes have one-time big-time skills, since after they dish out all their skills they lose their usefulness.
Some of the most common nuker/disablers in DotA would be Lion and Rhasta and perhaps Krobelus can be added as well.
In HoN you have the Witch Slayer and Slither and Glacius. These three heroes are well known for their high damage nukes and disables.
